Boost Coat - Carnauba Spray Wax
The finishing pass that makes a freshly-washed boat look hand-detailed. Boost Coat is a specially formulated carnauba wax spray made with the same all-natural Brazilian palm wax that detailers have applied for a centuries. Boost Coat utilizes nano-surfactant technology so it can be sprayed directly on the surface after a washdown and wiped off in minutes.
Boost coat is designed to lay down a sacrificial protective layer over gelcoat, painted hull, glass, and stainless. Protecting you car, or boat doesn't have to be a smelly job either. With our signature Pineapple-mango scented, and no harsh solvent smell, no synthetic gloss agents. Real wax with that warm, signature carnauba glow.
The FINAL step to every washdown.
Key Features:
- Made with all-natural carnauba wax
- Sacrificial wax layer over gelcoat, paint, glass, and stainless
- Protects stainless hardware against fingerprints and rust spotting (rails, cleats, towers)
- Pineapple-mango scent - Keep that chemical funk off your hands, and the cockpit
- Leaves the warm, deep glow only natural carnauba can produce
- Safe on every exterior surface — gelcoat, painted hull, glass, chrome, stainless
- Works on cars too — same finish, same protection
- Engineered for detailers
- Made in the USA
How to Use: Wash and dry the boat first. Mist Boost Coat directly onto one section at a time. Wipe immediately with a clean microfiber towel until the surface feels slick and the glow comes up. Reapply after every wash for continuous protection.
The Carnauba Advantage: Synthetic spray waxes give you gloss. Carnauba gives you depth. It's the same wax show-car detailers have hand-applied for a hundred years — and the only natural wax that survives marine conditions. Boost Coat puts that finish in a 16oz spray bottle, scented with real tropical fruit notes.
How to Use
- Wash and dry the surface. Boost Coat works best on a fully cleaned, contaminant-free surface.
- Work in shade, on a cool surface. Surface temperature should be between 50°F and 90°F.
- Spray 2–3 pumps onto the surface OR onto a clean microfiber towel. Both work - spraying on the surface is faster, spraying on the towel gives more control.
- Wipe with a clean microfiber. Work one panel at a time. Apply in overlapping passes until the panel is evenly coated.
- Repeat panel by panel. Don't try to coat the entire vehicle before buffing.
Ready-to-use formula. No dilution required.
Pro use case: Boost Coat doubles as a drying aid. Spray on a wet panel after rinsing and dry with a microfiber towel - protection and drying in one step.
✅ Safe to Use On
- Cured automotive paint (single-stage, basecoat/clearcoat)
- Cured marine gelcoat
- Painted fiberglass hulls
- Chrome, stainless steel, polished aluminum trim
- Powder-coated surfaces (fully cured)
- Cured ceramic coatings (Boost Coat works as a topper/refresher)
- Painted wheels (cured)
- Painted boat trim and rails
- Glass (test first — some surfaces show streaking)
- Cured paint protection film (PPF) — test first
❌ Do NOT Use On
- Matte and satin finishes — Boost Coat adds gloss and ruins matte effect
- Fabric and carpet — won't bond
- Fresh paint less than 30 days cured
- Tinted window film — can affect tint adhesive with repeat use
- Vinyl wraps and decals — test first, some finishes and vinyl don't accept wax
- Painted plastic dash and door panels with soft-touch coatings
When in doubt — test in an inconspicuous area first.
Pro Tips from the Field
- Less is more. 2–3 pumps per panel. Over-application causes streaks and wasted product.
-
Buff while still tacky. If it dries completely on the surface, it's harder to level out — re-mist lightly and buff again.
- Use as a drying aid. Spray on wet panel, dry with microfiber. Adds protection while you dry — saves a step.
- Pair with Sandman's drying towels for the smoothest glide and best gloss pop.
- Boost Coat is a maintenance product. Re-apply every wash for daily drivers, and weekly for boats with heavy sun exposure.
- Use between Boost Pro applications. Boost Coat between heavy ceramic coats extends overall protection life.
- Pre-storage protection. Apply before covering boats or vehicles for winter — extra UV protection during dormant months.
